New bus route from Forssa to Hämeenlinna

Good news for people who commute to Hämeenlinna, students and those traveling to Oma Häme health services: a new bus route has been established between Forssa, Tammela and Hämeenlinna.

“The new route increases the number of bus services between Forssa and Hämeenlinna on weekdays. The route will operate three times a day on weekdays in both directions,” says City of Forssa Administrative Specialist Jaakko Leskinen. 

The route runs from the bus station in Forssa to the urban centre of Tammela, then through the Mustiala campus of HAMK to Road 10, and on to the Hämeenlinna bus station via Kanta-Häme Central Hospital and the shopping centre.

“The route takes into account connections to city and municipal centres, as well as health services and educational institutions. In addition, the route also provides a connection to the railway station in Hämeenlinna.” 

The new route is based on a needs and cost analysis that focuses particularly on the commuting and service needs of the municipality of Tammela, HAMK and Oma Häme. The route is operated by Pekolan Liikenne Oy. It is funded by Forssa, Tammela and the ELY Centre.
