Forssa’s beaches and top summer activities

Forssa offers diverse recreational opportunities for both residents and visitors. The city’s beaches are especially popular attractions – there are eight unique swimming areas in total, each offering something for everyone.

Forssa’s beaches offer a wide range of options for families, active individuals, and those who appreciate the peace of nature. Each beach has its own unique features, and the city ensures their maintenance so that everyone can enjoy safe and comfortable summer fun by the water.

Linikkalanlammi beach is the most popular and family-friendly swimming spot in Forssa. It features a separate pool for small children and lifeguard supervision from early June to mid-August. The beach also includes a playground, beach volley courts, outdoor gym equipment, and fitness stairs, making it an excellent place for a full day of summer activities with the entire family. 

Mäkilammi beach attracts those looking for a more peaceful swimming experience. It offers basic amenities, such as changing cabins and dry closets. Raitoonlammi, Valijärvi, and Kuusto beaches, on the other hand, are located in natural surroundings, where visitors can enjoy tranquillity and beautiful scenery. 

The Vesihelmi indoor water park offers swimming year-round, but a major renovation starting on May 11, 2025, will bring changes to its operations. Vesihelmi will reopen for the autumn season in 2026, and during the renovation period, its activities will either be paused or moved to alternative locations.

Forssa’s beaches offer more than just swimming – they are also hubs for many kinds of activities. At the beaches and in their surroundings, visitors can enjoy beach volley, disc golf, padel, and outdoor fitness equipment. 

Cycling routes such as the Kaukjärvi loop and the Valijärvi loop offer scenic views and varied terrain for outdoor enthusiasts.

For disc golf lovers, Forssa offers three courses of different difficulty levels. The park-like courses in Viksberg and Talsoila are ideal for beginners, while the AA1-level course in Hunnari challenges more experienced players. 

The Puttaamo mini-golf course, open during the summer season in Talsoila Park, adds even more fun challenges for players of all ages. 

Forssa’s outdoor recreation areas provide excellent settings for both relaxation and active movement. Whether you’re a water enthusiast, a disc golfer, or a cyclist, Forssa has just the right spot to enjoy the best moments of summer.
